A Kiwi in Europe.

Born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand. A young and aspiring motoring journalist.

In 2019, I graduated from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, with a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, International Relations and History. In the final year of university, I spent six months at the University of Nottingham, UK, where I was immediately taken by the scale of the British and European motoring world.

Having returned to New Zealand to graduate I subsequently gained entry to the New Zealand Motoring Writers’ Guild mentoring program, honing my writing and journalism skills and making my first appearance as a published motoring journalist.

Now I have decided to return to the UK to further pursue my career as a motoring journalist.

An elusive combination of true car enthusiast and gifted writer, my perceptive nature and breadth of world experience shows in my creative, informative, and distinctive writing style.

AC Cobra Replica: If You Like Simple, Loud, V-8 Power

To me, the reason AC Cobra replicas are such popular collectable toys is not really because of the pedigree. It is more because they offer a very refreshing motoring experience in a brutal sort of way.  Modern cars are very safe and refined, which is great for daily...

Nissan Terrano: Trip A Blast From The Past

The old-fashioned feel of the new Suzuki Jimny has reminded me of all the off-roaders that used to be chugging around on our roads that we see much fewer of now. Remember the Isuzu Bighorns, the Mitsubishi Challengers, and Toyota Hilux Surfs? Another one was the...

Studebaker Hawk: Up-Spec On Classic Costly

The best thing about classic cars is the way they look. The worst thing? Pretty much everything else. There are attractive cars made today — the Aston Martin Vantage, BMW 5 Series, and Mazda 3, for example — but 20th-century car styling was much more adventurous....
